Emergency Assistance to Cambodia in Response to Flood Disaster

The Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to the flood disaster, upon the request from the Royal Government of Cambodia.

1. Disaster situation
The Floods, which occurred at the beginning of October, has been causing serious human and property damage. The damage situation as of 19th October was as follows:
Deaths 25 people
Evacuees 37,396 people (9,349 families)
Collapsed/Damaged houses 56
Inundated houses 73,720

2. Goods supplied
A. Emergency relief goods (from the JICA warehouse in Singapore)
Tents
Water purifiers
Blankets
Generators
Plastic sheets
Sleeping pads
Portable jerry cans

B. Shipping schedule
The goods will be transported from the JICA warehouse in Singapore to Phnom Penh on the next available flight.
