Signing of Grant Agreement with Laos: Improving the environment of the Teacher Training Colleges, thereby contributing to improvement of the quality of basic education

On Sept. 10, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with The Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Vientiane Capital, to provide grant aid of up to 1.912 billion yen for the Project for Improving Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs).
The objective of this project is to improve the quality of the training environment for teachers in pre-primary, primary and secondary education in the Lao PDR, by providing educational facilities and equipment in the target areas, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of basic education in the nation. This project will also contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 4.
