Signing of Grant Agreement with Djibouti:Contributing to the improvement of access to and the quality of basic education through constructing a combined primary and secondary school

On November 12, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Republic of Djibouti in Djibouti City, to provide grant aid of up to 2.092 billion yen for the Project for the Construction of Primary and Secondary School in Nassib in Balbala Quarter.

The objective of the project is to improve access to and the quality of basic education in Djibouti City by building a new combined primary and secondary school in an area with a rapidly growing school-age population. The school will be equipped with the necessary educational tools, which will support students’ study. Thereby, this project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 4.
