Orientation for Timorese scholars held to study in Japan

On October 7th, 2021, Timorese scholars participated in preceding orientation to start studying in Japan. They are the selected scholars for The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS) and JICA Development Studies Program by JICA Technical Cooperation (JICA-DSP).

As Government of Timor-Leste and JICA Timor-Leste Chief representative encouraged with hope and expectation to their endeavor, these scholars showed their determination for next 2 years of studying in Japan.

Despite of huge setbacks from Covid-19 - taking only online studies, they are finally set for this day. Full of excitement and expectation await with their professors and colleagues at each of their accepting universities.

Total of nine scholars depart this time; 7 scholars from 3rd batch on JDS, 1 scholar on SDGs Global Leader and 1 scholar on Agriculture Studies Networks for Food Security (Agri-Net).
