Vehicle hand over ceremony from JICA to Ministry of Health

On 13th of December 2021, JICA handed over 15 vehicles to The Ministry of Health (MOH) to support distribution of Medicines and Medical Equipment, as well as Vaccine throughout Timor-Leste. Vehicles consist of 1 cold box pick-up trick, 3 box truck, 8 mini box trucks, and 3 forklifts and they will be distributed to each Municipality.

JICA's representative in Timor-Leste, Mr.Goto Ko wishes, "On behalf of people of Japan, I would like to request that, these Vehicles to be utilized and maintained as good as possible, hence they could be utilized for long period in the future, for the benefits of the community."

Minister of Health Ms. Odete Freitas Belo and Executive Director of SAMES Mr. Santana Martins appreciated the generous support of the Government of Japan and JICA as a good partner of Timor-Leste.

This handover is part of the activities of JICA's technical cooperation project on Capacity Development for Establishing Medical Supply Chain and Service Delivery under the Influence of COVID-19.
