JOB Vacancy- Consultant for NGO-JICA Japan Desk

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Timor-Leste Office, a Japanese governmental agency which implements Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA), is now seeking one (1) qualified person.

1. Position
Position Title: Consultant for NGO-JICA Japan Desk
Duty Office: JICA Timor-Leste Office, Av. Luromata No.3 Comoro, Dili, Timor-Leste
Duration: From the beginning of April 2025 to the end of March 2026
Expected Start Date: April 01, 2025

2. Job Description
Under the general supervision of Chief Representative and Representative of Program Unit, the Consultant shall provide services as follow:
(a) Operations necessary for the smooth implementation of JICA projects in collaboration with NGOs (information gathering, consulting, site monitoring, report confirmation, etc.)
(b) Public relations of JICA projects including NGOs (preparation for Web and SNS articles, support for project visitors and study tours, etc.)
(c) Support of summarizing JICA projects’ actual results and alumni association activities

3. Qualifications and Experience
(a) Must have a Diploma or Bachelor degree;
(b) At least three (3) year of relevant work experience;
(c) Computer literacy in word processing (e.g. Microsoft Office Word), spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Excel), presentation software (e.g. Microsoft Power Point) and internet;
(d) Fluency in Japanese and English. Knowledge of Tetum and Bahasa Indonesia is preferable;
(e) Basic business skills such as receiving instructions, reporting progress/results, taking notes, being on time during work, etc.;
(f) Basic knowledge on international assistance and cooperation; and
(g) Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
