Project for Promotion of Sustainable Coastal Fisheries for Blue Economy under Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is now seeking a qualified person as follows.
1. Position and Job Description
Position: Project Assistant for Administration
Job Description:
Under the Japanese Experts dispatched to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Forestry, the employee shall provide management and logistics services in the following area.
a. Conduct administrative works including accounting, procurement and general affairs.
b. Preparation of meetings with fisheries stakeholders, relevant government departments, and other national and international organizations.
c. Preparation of business trips by the Japanese Experts and other project related personnels.
d. Documents and information management such as collecting, classifying, and filing.
e. Drafting official letters and other correspondences.
f. Any other duties requested by the Japanese Experts necessary for smooth project implementation.
2. Duty Office
Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Forestry
3. Contract period
Three (3) months including fifteen days of probationary period (after first three months, there is a possibility to extend within project cooperation period (June 2028).
4. Expected Starting Date of service: July, 2025
5. Qualification and Experience
a. Nationality of Timor-Leste.
b. Diploma or higher degree (BA from foreign university preferred).
c. At least three (3) years of relevant work experience at International organizations or Government Agencies.
d. Fluency in English (writing, reading, listening and speaking) and Tetum. Knowledge of Portuguese and Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
e. Computer literacy in word processing (e.g. Microsoft Office Word), spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Excel), presentation software (e.g. Microsoft Power Point) and internet.
f. Ability to work in a multicultural environment (Experience in working with international agency preferred).
g. Basic business skills such as receiving instructions, reporting progress/results, taking notes, punctuality, etc.
h. Basic knowledge on international assistance and cooperation preferred.
