#NINJA University Startup Development Program #2

#NINJA University Startup Development Program in Ethiopia, organized by #JICA and #MInT, in collaboration with the implementation partner Pragma, aims to support early-stage startups in Ethiopian universities. The program will span approximately two months, starting from September 2023 and concluding at the end of October 2023.

The first phase training was conducted from September 23rd to September 26th. A training took place at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) for their students while students from various regions such as Hawasa, Mekelle, Diredewa, Arbamench and Jimma took the training at MInT and Pragama.

The training primarily focused on business knowledge, financial knowledge, and pitching skills. It was designed to be intensive, interactive, and engaging. The objective of the training was to equip the students with sufficient knowledge to build their own startup as well as to participate in the largest startup event in Ethiopia, ENKOPA. A total of 50 students were selected to join the event, and 7 students will have opportunity to showcase their skills in front of national and international investors to compete against each other for recognition.
