SHEP Approach with soccer player in Tanzania!

Smallholder Horticulture Empowerment & Promotion (SHEP) is an approach which realizes "Market-Oriented #Agriculture" and converts #farmers mind from "grow and sell" to "grow to sell". SHEP Approach has succeeded in increasing farmers' income in #Africa.

TANSHEP (SHEP Approach in Tanzania) made a SHEP calendar by the collaboration with Mr. Mbwana Ally Samatta, who is the captain of Tanzanian national soccer team. He agrees with the concept of SHEP Approach "Grow to Sell". He emphasizes that this concept is also important in soccer, since he needs to be aware where to goal before hitting the shoot. We hope that his message with help many people to understand the core concept of SHEP Approach.

2. Message from Mr. Mbwana Ally Samatta, Football player in Tanzania

"I was born to score goals and I score lots of them. But, before I shoot to score, I have to be aware where the goal-posts are.

Just like in farming, you won't be able to sell your produce for profit, unless you know the market needs. Let's do market survey first before start producing."
