The economy of Namibia is relatively stable in the country overall with a rich foundation of mineral, agricultural, fishing and tourism resources. However, the country faces a serious HIV/AIDS problem, and has domestic economic disparity with the majority of the population living in the rural area is regarded as poverty groups. JICA's support to Namibia is primarily focused on 1) Accelerating Economic Development, and 2) Alleviating Poverty and improving basic living needs in Rural Agricultural Area.
