The first meeting of the Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) was held on June 3 in the conference room of a hotel in the national park. Dr. Zamir Dedej, Director General of the National Agency of Protected Area (NAPA), chaired the meeting, and Mr. Ardian Koci, Director of the Park Management Office and Mr. Koji Asano, Chief Advisor of JICA Project gave an overview of the project and presented a work plan indicating detailed activities based on Project Design Matrix (PDM). The representatives of Fier Prefecture, Diviake municipality (where the national park is located), local agricultural producers, JICA Balkan Office, and Japanese experts to the Project attended. the secretary of Embassy of Japan in Albania and members of Global Environment Department in JICA head quarter also participated through the remote meeting tool. They had a lively discussion on the current status and issues of national park, the organizing park management committee, required research and monitoring, and so on.
