Project News

On March 29, the third meeting of the Divjake-Karavasta National Park Management Committee was held at the Visitor Center in the National Park Management Office since the start of the project. The meeting was chaired by the newly appointed Prefect of Fier, and attended by local officials from the Divjake city, the prefect of the neighboring province of Tirana, officials from the agriculture, fishery, and tourism sectors, park management office staff, and project experts.

At the meeting, the Director of the park management office reported on the status of park management in 2021 and the activity plan in 2022, and each of the Working Groups supporting the project activities (biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, sustainable fisheries, and environmental education /ecotourism) presented their action plans.
