Seminars on the Civil Code have been conducted regularly in order to bring about a better understanding of the essential components of the Civil Code.

Professor Yasuhiko TSUJI and Professor Tomoya MOHRI from Ministry of Justice in Japan gave lectures on "Tort", "Subrogation of Obligor's Claim by Obligee" and "Rescission Right for Fraudulent Acts".

The event attracted 150 participants from the project's four counterpart organizations, the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the Court of First Instance.

Cambodia's Civil Code is based on Japan's Civil Code and was drafted accordingly and thus it is valuable to share the Japanese experience with Cambodia. The project will lend further support in the organization of ongoing seminars.
