The 1st Task Force Meeting of JICA's technical cooperation, "Project for Modernization of Vehicle Registration and Inspection Administration System (MVRI Project)" was held and chaired by H.E. Peou Maly, Director General of General Department of Transport, Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) on Monday, March 27th, 2017. The purpose of the 1st Task Force meeting was to share and discuss the information sharing between relevant ministries.

The representatives of General Department of Transport (MPWT), General Department of Taxation (MoEF), General Department of Custom and Excise (MoEF), General Commisariat of National Police (MoI), General Department of Identification (MoI), and JICA experts headed by Mr. OTA Masaya, Chief Advisor of the Project, attended the meeting.

In the remarks of H.E. Maly, he said, "I appreciate all the effort of JICA experts for this project. I believe the improvement of information sharing with relevant ministries and the training for development of human resource are the most important thing in this project. I hope we can work hard to realize our project goal".

The 2nd Task Force Meeting will be held in September 2017.
