Background

Located in the center of Southern Exonomic Corridor in the Mekong region, Cambodia has achieved steady economic growth with the expansion of private investment in labor-intensive industries that take advantage of cheap labor and location characteristics. Although the government of the country is expanding and improving its transportation infrastructure to further improve connectivity with neighboring countries, the quality and cost-performance of logistics businesses and services has still not reached to the international standards. The challenge is to strengthen the comprehensive logistics system, including human resources, policy and institutional system.

The Overall Goal

Stable, Reliable and Cost-effective Logistics System, in accordance with transformation and modernization of Cambodia's industrial structure, is developed.

Project Purpose

Logistics Master Plan implementation is strengthened through the enhancement of the capacity building of logistics related stakeholders.

Output

Output 1: Logistics MP is formulated and Inter-organizational Implementation framework of the Logistics MP is established and operated.
Output 2: Priority Action Plans are facilitated/ implemented.
Output 3: Regular Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system to check the progress and to strategically promote logistics system improvement is established and conducted.
Output 4: Regional level coordination in logistics is strengthened."
