Training Organized for Explaining Survey Method on Waste collection and Transportation and GPS Data Utilization

A practical training on waste collection and transportation and GPS data utilization was delivered by the Project expert in the Siem Reap Provincial Administration office on May 25,202. The project organized the training aiming at explaining the survey methodology to understand the present status of waste collection and transportation and its data interpretation as well as GPS tracking data of waste collection for improving waste collection and transportation systems in the Siem Reap City.

Several waste management practitioners and officers from the Siem Reap Provincial Administration, the Department of Environment, and the Siem Reap City attended the training on the day. In the training, the Project expert Mr. Takano explained the survey workflow, results, as well as data analysis, using audio-visual materials.

The attendees from the Siem Reap Government showed their interest in the topics, asking numerous questions about specific survey techniques, as well as the equipment and costs required for the survey.
Using the survey results and the feedbacks from the training, the project will continue supporting the project counterparts in improving their waste management capacity.
