Seminar for the teaching staff who obtained master's degree in Japan

As a part of the project, JICA had sent seven teaching staff to Japan to earn a master’s degree in engineering fields. By the end of March 2008, all the trainees had returned to Timor Leste and showed great dedication to the Faculty.

On 25th April 2008, the Faculty of Engineering held a seminar at the main campus of UNTL for the returned-trainees to express their achievement of the study. In the seminar, three of them made presentations on their research activities in Japan (topics of master thesis). The topics were (1) Numerical analysis on the unstable behavior of flame balls based on the diffusive-thermal model equation, (2) Actual condition and characteristics of slope failure in East Timor by multivariate statistical analysis, and (3) C language in new compiler. It is expected that they will contribute to the further revitalization and development of the Faculty.
