Intensive training by ITS teaching staff

Photo

In February 2010, the Faculty of Engineering invited four teaching staff of ITS (Institute of Technology in Surabaya). As the current academic cooperation will be terminated in May 2010, this was the last invitation in the current MoU. While the ITS staff stay in Timor-Leste, they organize intensive training courses to the teaching staff of the Faculty of Engineering at Hera Campus. Their specializations are Energy conversion (Mechanical Engineering), road construction (Civil Engineering), Microprocessor (Electrical Engineering) and Power electronics (Electrical Engineering). In addition to the course, on 22nd February, a technical seminar was held by responding a request from the Faculty of Engineering, UNTL. ITS staff made presentations on research methodology and teaching methodology and all the teaching staff of the Faculty listened sincerely to explanations.

Mr. Agung Kartika, one of the ITS staff pointed out that UNTL teaching staff still need to improve teaching methodology as well as a wide range of expertise. It is expected that the good relationship between the two institutions continue and UNTL receive more training in a variety of field.
