The Faculty of Engineering, UNTL hold a seminar on 26th August at East Timor Development Agency (ETDA). The seminar room was full of audience including government officials, the teaching staff and the students of UNTL.

The objective of the seminar was to facilitate research activities at the Faculty of Engineering. The seminar started with introductions of recent research topics in Japan by four Japanese professors who were conducting intensive training for the teaching staff of the Faculty of Engineering. Followed by those introductions, the faculties made presentations on recent research activities at Hera campus. In cooperation with the project, the Faculty has been conducting research activities such as “Fabrication of a prototype for utilization of hydropower” and “A study on the characteristic of the local insolation”. The research members reported their progress of the study.

In a sense that the practical researches could lead to social development in Timor-Leste, the project continues to support the teaching staff to improve their research ability.
