Pilot Project Planning for SHAPWASCO's water distribution management

SHAPWASCO and the JICA's mission held a series of discussions on the scheme of the pilot project for controlling water distribution system. SHAPWASCO expects introduction of remote monitoring technology on flow volume, pressure and water quality. SHAPWASCO and JICA's mission discussed on the objectives of remote monitoring technology and issues relating to water distributions. Both side agreed conduction of pilot projects in Zagazig City for (1) monitoring of start and cease of well operations by monitoring water pressure in the distribution network, (2) pilot flow volume monitoring at the area where low flow volume and low water pressure likely occur, (3) effective utilization of distribution reservoir at a water treatment plant and (4) preparation of suitable operation programs through analysis of data.
