Meeting for rice seed development strategy held (June 2017)
Stakeholder meeting for the rice seed development strategy was held in Addis Ababa. Participants were drown from government (Ministry of Agriculture, regional bureaus of agriculture, national and regional research centers), parastatals (national and regional seed enterprises), development partners (JICA, KOICA) and their projects (Finland, Canada, China, Netherlands) and private seed company. Discussion covered from production, inspection to marketing as well as formal and informal systems.
