Ms.Yamaguchi(Expert of Gender and Development)as Gender Mission from JICA Head Quarter has arrived in Ethiopia in December and conducted a gender survey in Amhara target areas. We had interview from C/Ps, focus group discussion with the target groups and visited the farmers houses. Through the survey, we recognized gender situation in the target areas and discussed how can we improve the Project with Gender considerations, particularly women farmers' participation, strengthen empowerment. Some specific suggestions form Ms. Yamaguchi for the project activities will be implemented for the next fiscal year.
