Problem Analysis Workshop in Lautoka

Problem Analysis workshop was held in the Lautoka Regional Support Centre of the Ministry of Fisheries, delivered by Mr. Tokabwebwe, Senior Fisheries Officer, Mr. Jone, Fisheries Technical Officer and other officers as facilitators on 24th November. Before the workshop, those two officers took part in another project management training held by JICA and learned the effective method of project management by using PCM method. To support this workshop, JICA experts also participated.

The fishes and fisheries officers discussed and analyzed the issues which the Lautoka Fisheries Association (LFA) is facing to. Through this workshop, fishers and fisheries officers were able to have good opportunities to discuss about their problems. Then, all the participants confirmed that LFA shall be revitalized for the better management of fishing market and wharf. After the workshop, they will continue to discuss in order to brush-up their problem analysis and develop to their small-scale project reflecting the results from the discussion. For these reasons, JICA experts will visit other divisions where fishers and fishery officers are ready to conduct problem analysis and support to develop PDM of small-scale project.
