Capacity Enhancement Training Report (2)
Mud Crab Fattening Training (26th - 27th Jan.)

During this training, a total of fifteen (15) attendees were present, comprised of thirteen officials from the Ministry of Fisheries, and two members from the Vunuku village community. Dr. Rajesh Prashad was also invited to serve as the lecturer. The training focused on acquiring knowledge about the mud crab fattening method for the village of Vunuku. This method is currently being implemented by the Central Division of the MoF under the JICA SDG14 project.

Additionally, Dr. Rajesh and JICA experts conducted workshops for community members in the Northern and Western Divisions, including Labasa, Lautoka, Nadi, and Rakiraki. The workshops focused on the negative impacts of undersized Mud Crab Fishing, the importance of resource conservation, and the method of Mud Crab Fattening.
