Conducting workshop on developing curriculum for disaster nursing and emergency nursing.

The workshop for development of curriculum for disaster nursing and emergency nursing was conducted in April. After the workshop, contents of the curriculum were divided into several parts and allocated to persons in charge. After their development of draft of the contents, the project implemented a workshop to review the draft on 24th and 25th June 2014.

During these two days, participants of the workshop exchange their ideas in a proactive manner. As a result, the participants achieved to develop the curriculum for disaster nursing. However, Indonesia does not have enough experience to develop scenario of table-top exercise which is a part of the curriculum and the development was suspended. JICA will deploy a short-term expert for development of table-top exercise to finalize all part of the curriculum.

The participants of training in Japan seemed to be able to deepen their confident in Japan because they could confirm that the methodology and framework to develop the curriculum is similar between Indonesia and Japan, and they could obtain new knowledge, either. It was impressive that they tried utilizing those experience and knowledge during the discussion.

We, Japanese experts would like to support them so that they keep their confident and they can put the knowledge in the practice continuously.
