Effective communication with stakeholders is a mission and challenge of PMPUPO. Communication topics range from food safety and health risk to food security and nutrition, including sustainability in economics and food producing SMEs.
JICA organized a video production and editing training to teach technical and related skills. Video is an audio-visual module and is effective in informing, raising awareness and educating the public of different ages and level of knowledge. People get more information from visual material than from reading.
The first step in video production is to know the target audience, which is the most important process in creating the concept and story of the video. It is also important to consider the methods used, the aim of video production, and the length of video.
The two-day training consisted of 1) lecture sessions; 2) video-making[2] group work, and 3) presentation and review.
Participants raised questions and shared findings on video production, difficulties to deciding a topic, how to use video editing applications, how to finalize the video to be more feasible and interesting, etc.
Approx. 60 officers from PMPUPO participated in the training proceeded by Tempo Institute.
