JICA supported Junior District Food Inspectors who supervise SMEs

A new e-learning tool and materials for food inspection have been developed by PPPO[1] and PPSDM[2] with the support of JICA.

The e-learning materials address Junior District Food Inspectors (DFI) for inspecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The materials consist of an interactive module, an inspection video simulation and several interactive e-learning tools that are effective for knowledge retention. Learners must learn all modules and the video and answer questions in each key subject, based on food inspection regulations, guidelines, and other documents. In the learning courses, Junior DFIs can check their knowledge based on materials by choosing their right answers for the given question and checked their understanding of specific topics. If DFIs are not yet fulfil the standard value of passing grade, they can repeat it until knowledge retains.

The new e-learning materials will be made available for DFI across Indonesia anytime, anywhere on Badan POM's intra-platform soon.
