The 11th International Conference on MCH Handbook was held from 12 to 14 December 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. Deputy Director for Under-Five and Pre-School-Age Children Health, Ministry of Health Indonesia was a panellist for the session of "MCH Handbooks throughout the world: past, present and future". She introduced the introductory history of MCH Handbook in Indonesia from the early 1990s to now with the title of "MCH Handbook in Indonesia" using latest data from the Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) conducted in 2018.

The Ministry of Health Indonesia organized an international workshop, invited Thailand, Kenya, the Philippines, etc. to discuss on the utilization of the MCH Handbook in 2017. After one year, using this international conference opportunity, Indonesia visited Thailand and observed the use of the MCH Handbook.

In addition, the Ministry of Health Indonesia exchanged opinions with Ministry of Health Kenya officials and WHO delegates about the operation after the formation of the 2018 WHO recommendations on Home-based record.

The Indonesian Ministry of Health has participated this conference since the beginning (Tokyo 1998) and hosted the second conference (Manado 2000) and the third conference (Bogor 2003). The international conference on MCH Handbook is held every two years, and the next one is scheduled for 2020 in the Netherlands.
