Workshop on Bridging Operation of ACE Program to Local Government

Considering the sustainability and further development of 21 ACE groups after the end of the Project in next March, the JICA Expert Team had several discussions with relevant local government institutions in 1 Kota and 6 Kabupaten, and concluded Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with each local government on bridging ACE groups from JICA to local government.
In order to facilitate the bridging process, local government needs to be informed about the process which ACE groups came through, namely the formulation, development of Business Plan, and the progress of their business. Therefore, the JICA Expert Team has been organizing workshops in each Kota/Kabupaten since the end of August. Workshops will be held 3 times in each place, and participated by staff from relevant local government institutions, ACE members, and local consultants.
Content of the 1st series of workshop was the explanation of outline of ACE program based on operation manual. Content of the 2nd series of workshop was the exercise on development of business plan including the revision of the business plan of each ACE group. The 3rd series of workshop will be held in December, with the content of ACE activity monitoring method.
