As for Integrated Disaster Mitigation Management for "Banjir Bandang" , we have been preparing “Banjir Bandang Hazard Map” and “manuals (draft) for researching Banjir Bandang hazardous area” now. As part of the operation, we have proceeded to a discussion at the sectional meeting established at the supporting committee of our project.

Last December, we exchanged our views with Lumajang office, Bureau of Public Works in East Java Province, and Bureau of Public Works and Bureau of Forestry in Jember District about methodology of identifying deep-seated landslide hazardous area. In addition, we exchanged our views with SABO Technical Center and Gadjah Mada University on April 20th, and SABO Research Center, Research Centre for Water Resources on April 23rd.

The suggestion that attention needs to be paid to technical terms and means of expression for describing the manuals in Indonesian version, etc. were given while we exchanged our views.

We will promote the preparation of the next supporting committee of our project while seriously taking these suggestions at the sectional meeting.
