From September 28th to 29th, Sabo Technical Development Seminar was held in Jogjakarta. The seminar was held by Experimental Station for Sabo, Research Centre for Water Resources which belongs to Agency for Research and Development, Ministry of Public Works, and about 100 people from national and subnational government and universities related to sediment disasters joined.

At the first day of the seminar, Mr. Chandra, Head of Experimental Station for Sabo made a report, Mr.Hassan, the Special Advisor to The minister had a speech, Dr.Amron, Director General of Water Resources and Prof.Lilik, Institute of Technology Bandung gave a keynote lecture and also they had a panel discussion.

Thereafter, the participated related agencies signed to the Memorandum regarding to future Sabo Technical cooperation. This Memorandum intends developing Sabo technology by sharing information concerning Sabo among world Sabo engineers.

After that, 2 lectures such as "Overview of Sabo in Indonesia", and 19 presentations were given during 2 days. Mr. Toshiyasu Ueno Expert presented about the Banjir Bandang Disaster Mitigation Management project
