The training at Sabo Frontier Foundation

On January 31th, Mr. Hariyono Utomo, the chief of Sabo Technical Center, Directorate General of Water Resources, Ministry of Public Works, and Mr. Edy, the head of Bakesbang(Residents protection agency) in Jember District, who have joined the counterpart trainings, attended training at Sabo Frontier Foundation.

At the training they listened to lectures regarding massive sediment movement in Japan, risk control against massive sediment disasters, and the Sediment-Related Disaster Prevention Law, etc. Although it was all day classroom lecture, they seemed fully understanding since those were final lectures at this Shikoku training.

After the lectures they had opinion and information exchanges including lecturers regarding sediment disasters in the both countries. The training of the day was over as schedule.
