The Special Lecture

On February 10th, a PII (Indonesia Engineers Society) -JSCE (Japan Society of Civil Engineers) Special lecture was held in Jakarta.

After opening address by Prof.Sutanto, President of JSCE Indonesia Section and Prof.Kenji Sakata, President of JSCE, Dr.Hermanto, President of Civil Chapter (BKS) PII and the Vice Minister of Ministry of Public Works gave a lecture titled as "Infrastructure Development in Indonesia". At the lecture, he explained about disaster situation by volcanic mudflow along with Mt.Merapi eruptions and status of Sabo facility preparation and the management skill, etc.

After that, Prof.Sakata, President of JSCE gave a lecture titled as "Recent Advances in Concrete Technology and Sustainability Issues". Also there are a signing ceremony regarding cooperation between BKS PII and JSCE and a lecture titled as "JSCE:Mission, International Cooperation and Professional Development" by Mr.Moriyasu Furuki, Executive Director of JSCE.
