In February 21st morning, JICA joined the socialization for Pakis Village residents, which was organized by PMI, a Red Cross Organization in Indonesia for Jember Branch. There were some collapses in Pakis Village by rainfall of February 2nd – 3rd, so that JICA recognized residents would need the knowledge of banjir bandang.

Mr. Yoshida Expert explained banjir bandang disaster and early warning of banjir bandang by using the Banjir Bandang Comic which JICA issued.

Especially, he recommended that residents should find safety area where banjir bandang had never hit by hearing from elder people.
