The Project Progress Report

We made a Project Progress Report whose period is from December 2009 to December 2010, and distributed to related agencies such as counterparts.

During the period, we signed "Memorandum of Understanding regarding Various Activities for Disaster Management in Banjir Bandang" with Jember District. Also, in July, we held the Third Supporting Committee of the Project and made opinion exchanges regarding "manual(draft) for Banjir Bandang Hazardous Area". Furthermore, in October, Short-term experts visited Indonesia and gave technical trainings at table top exercise for establishing early warning and evacuation system and lectures about method of; making a risk management plan against massive sediment disasters; hazard mapping for Banjir Bandang; and early warning information.

Moreover, we made posters, banners, brochures, and comics for raising awareness of Banjir Bandang disaster prevention. Those have been utilized for each activity of the Project.

In the future, we are going to perform the projects by cooperating closely with the related agencies.
