At the sectional meeting in experimental station for SABO

As for Integrated Disaster Mitigation Management Project for "Banjir Bandang", we have been preparing "Manual for Researching Banjir Bandang Hazardous Area", "Manuals for Emergency Evacuation for Banjir Bandang" and "Action Plans for Improving the Capability for Banjir Bandang Disaster Mitigation all over the Indonesia". As part of the operation, we have had discussions at the sectional meeting established at the supporting committee of our project.

Adding to the discussions in Directorate General of Water Resources, Ministry of Public Works, we had opinion exchanges about the Manual and the Action on May 13th in Experimental Station for Sabo, Research Centre for Water Resources (also on May 20th), and Gadjah Mada University. Among the opinion exchanges, there were some proposals such as "The Manual has to be along with the nationally integrated format", or "We need to confirm whether open-source GIS software is available for the Manual", etc.

We will promote the preparation of the next supporting committee of our project while seriously taking these suggestions at the sectional meeting.
