Participants of high school students in the seminar.

JICA joined the seminar held by STIE Mandala Jember University. Mr. Yoshida expert gave a lecture titled "sediment related disaster countermeasures in Indonesia". Depend on the agenda of the seminar which was progressed the knowledge against the disasters for high school students, Red Cross Indonesia (PMI) and Board of nation unity, politic and public protection (BAKESBANGPOLLINMAS) in Jember district also joined the seminar.

Audiences discussed in the end of seminar, so that some high school students asked us how JICA, BAKESBANGPOLLINMAS and PMI related, how the JICA contributed to sediment related disaster countermeasures in Jember, how the educational programs about disaster preparedness were held in Japanese high school, why there were many victims in March Tsunami disaster even though Japan had the many countermeasures against the disasters.
