The Conference

From July 15th to 17th, Indonesian Association of Hydraulic Engineer (HATHI) held the International Seminar on Water Related Risk Management. On 15th and 17th, they had on-site review. On 16th presentation over 72 issues and panel display were held. At the seminar, Mr. Djoko Kirmanto, Minister for Public Works and Dr.Mochammad Amron, Director General of Water Resources,Ministry of Public Works, who is the Chairman of HATHI made a keynote speech. Mr.Toshiyasu Ueno, JICA expert made a presentation about the　performance and issues of Integrated Disaster Mitigation Management Project for "Banjir Bandang".

Indonesian and oversea engineers about rivers exchanged their opinions in the seminar.  The Seminar has been held once in 2 years since 2007 for the purpose of developing sustainable water resource management. So far it was held at Denpasar in Bali and Manado in Sulawesi.
