Minutes of Meetings about Project Cooperation Period Extension

JICA Indonesia Office Representative and Director General of Water Resources of Ministry of Public Works agreed and signed a four-month extension of cooperation period of Integrated Disaster Mitigation Management Project for "Banjir Bandang" on 5th of September.

This project has been conducted since November 24, 2008 based on the three-year plan of the Japan-Indonesia agreement on June 27, 2008. Both countries discussed at the joint terminal evaluation of the project on May 30 until June 22, 2011. As the result, two countries agreed and signed the document proposing, to ensure the completion of the project purpose that the manuals should be finalized, and continuous activities should be carried out to strengthen capability for researching "Banjir Bandang" hazardous area in the main hazardous areas.

They agreed that the project cooperation period would be for three years and four months, starting from November 2008. The details of activities during the extension period shall be decided through further discussion among JICA and Ministry of Public Works.
