PhotoParticipants wrote down causes of Banjir Bandang.

JICA held the Table Top Exercise (TTE) to early warning and evacuation for Banjir Bandang with leader of residents in the Pakis village on September 17th and 18th, 2011.

Participants joined Focus Group Discussion (FGD), so that they were able to share their awareness for Banjir Bandang early warning and arrange the flow of information in Banjir Bandang disaster time on the morning activity of September 17th. After lunch, they went to field survey to discuss where and how they should evacuate in disaster time. Staff of YPM, which is one of NGO and joined last year's activity also, played role as moderator in the FGD.

After discussion based on result of September 17th, they began to play Table Top Exercise (TTE) by the scenario simulated on the Banjir Bandang disaster time in September 18th. In the early time of the TTE, players were not able to share the disaster information smoothly, because some players would not be used to the simulated scenario style of this training. But they would have understood the importance of the TTE, when they went back to residence.
