A scene of the 2nd Manual/Action Plan Supervision Team Meeting

On 24th October, the 2nd Manual/Action Plan Supervision Team Meeting has been held in the conference room of Sabo Technical Center in Yogyakarta. The purpose of this meeting was; to exchange opinions on revised draft of the ‘Manual for Researching Banjir Bandang Hazardous Area’, ‘Manual for Emergency Evacuation for Banjir Bandang’ and the ‘Action Plan for Improving the Capability for Banjir Bandang Disaster Mitigation’, based on the discussions made in the 1st meeting of the said supervision team having been held on 14th September.

In this meeting, Mr. Hariyono Utomo, Head of Sabo Technical Center, Mr. Agus, Mr. Sutikno, Mr. Bambang and Mr. Arif, Sabo Experimental Station, all of them from the Ministry of Public Works, as well as Mr. Mulyanto, Mr. Subarkah, and Mr. Haryono, former Head of Sabo Technical Center have been participated. From Japanese side, 2 experts for Banjir Bandang Disaster Mitigation Management Project have joined the meeting.

In the meeting, opinions have been exchanged on the topics such as making clear the Banjir Bandang to be the target of each manual, roles of relevant organizations and bodies to be the target of the action plan as well as on the description by Bahasa Indonesia. In addition, it was agreed in the meeting that the specific study will be made on how to and which organization or body will approve the manuals and the actions plans to be created.
