PhotoSlope collapses occurred at Sekarwangi village in Cibadak Sub-district, Sukabumi District.

Sediment disasters have often occurred after rainy season started.

On 9th December, we conducted a field investigation of sediment disaster which occurred at Nias Island in North Sumatera Province. At Maze Sub-district in South Nias District, on 30th November, a landslide occurred along with heavy rainfall. On some parts on the road on the way to the site, there are traits that rivers flooded over the road hear and there. It tells that heavy rainfall has occurred. However no slope collapses were found. Also, because the condition of roads at the site was bad, we only reached the area which was 8 km away from the landslide point.
