Since the kickoff meeting of April 2009, we have worked on activities in Jember District, a model site, including opening an office in the annex building of City hall, and hiring a resident staff.

In Jember District, we started from pre-activities such as a survey of residence awareness and social condition, and investigation for a hazard map. Then we have worked on creation of a hazard map, tabletop exercises and field training, creation of SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) which is a procedure manual for early evacuation, variety of education activities, and installation of units for early evacuation, etc.

We closed the office and finished the activities in Jember since the activities made a certain productive outcome.

Next we step to develop these activity results to all over Indonesia.
