The trainees got an explanation regarding the emergency construction.

On February 1, the Yamato River Office showed 6 persons including Mr. Pitoyo, Director of River and Coastal, Ministry of Public Works in this counterpart training to Akatani area, Gojo City, Nara prefecture to inspect the emergency measure construction site at the spot of blocking of river water way. At the inspection site, they really felt how big the collapse had been and they also saw the present situation of houses and roads which had gotten damages by sediment which had flowed down or had run aground on the opposite shores with their own eyes.

At the site, the temporary drainage channels were under construction to prepare for the next flood season. The trainees seemed to really feel how important details of construction planning was, the safety management was at each construction spot and the system such as making an agreement was to actualize the early emergency construction.
