Opinion Exchange at SABO Experimental Station

On 29th February, we visited the SABO Experimental Station of Water Resource Research Center, Research and Development Agency, Ministry of Public Works and Natural Disaster Management Course, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering of Gadjah Mada University and reported activity achievement of the project so far and discussed how to utilize the achievements and future cooperation relationship.

At each place, after Expert Toshiyasu Ueno explained activity achievements, we exchanged opinions with Koichi Kondo, President of SABO Technical center, Expert Tadahiro Ishizuka and Expert Yoishi Washio.

At the SABO Experimental Station, in light of eruption of Mount Merapi in 2010, we discussed wide issues such as hydraulic model experiment on SABO facilities, debris flow simulation, monitoring and warning system and future coordination and cooperation possibility, and indicated a willingness to utilize the project achievements proactively in Gadjah Mada University.
