Opening speech by Mr. Arung as the Head of Conservation Infrastructure and Sedimentation in Ministry of Public Works.

JICA held the training to disseminate their project activity fruits in Jogjakarta and Short-term Experts who had come to Indonesia in Feb. 26th, 2012 also joined this training.

This training was held between Feb. 29th and Mar. 2nd and was joined by the staff of Sabo technical Centre in Ministry of Public Works, Balai Sabo, and student in the Gajamada University.

Mr. Arung as the Head of Conservation Infrastructure and Sedimentation in Ministry of Public Works who came from Jakarta and Mr. Kondo as the Director-General of Sabo Technical Center in Japan who came from Tokyo made a speech on the opening of this training. And Mr. Ishizuka Short-term Expert lectured about the way of investigation on deep seated landslide and Mr. Washio Short-term Expert lectured about the survey of natural dam too. They also talked the experience in the Typhoon Talas, so that the participants had interested in their lecture.

Then two participants used one laptop to learned the analysis and making of Banjir Bandang Hazard Map by GIS and they learned the method.
