Banjir Bandang Disaster Mitigation Management Guideline

This time we developed a guideline for Banjir Bandang Disaster Mitigation Management.

Although Banjir Bandang takes several forms of flood and debris flows, in this project we targeted flood and debris flow that comes with rapid freshet that stems from natural dam formation and its collapse and which causes tremendous disaster among all.

The guideline developed this time utilized manual made in Banjir Bandang Disaster Mitigation Management Project and introduces various forms of outbreak of banjir bandang and its mechanisms in a plain way with figures. Also, it explains infrastructure measures such as SABO facilities and non-infrastructure measures such as warning evacuation.

It is expected that this guideline as well as manual that was made in this project will be utilized by Indonesian SABO engineers.
