Sabo Technical Seminar was held in Jakarta city on August 5-6, 2009. This seminar was held to enhance understanding of concerned parties of Ministry of Public Works regarding the significance and contents of activities, etc. of Sabo Technical Centre which has been established in Yogyakarta.

In the seminar, MR.Hariyono Utomo, Head of Sabo Technical Centre made the presentation of the histories and developments of Sabo technology. In his presentation, he also touched on the achievement of Mr. Tomoaki YOKOTA, who was dispatched as the first long-term expert of Sabo to Indonesia on September 1970.

Toshiyasu UENO expert explained the investigation of the Banjir Bandang hazardous areas and warning and evacuation as the contents of activities of Integrated Disaster Mitigation Management for "Banjir Bandang".
