The Presentation of Sabo Engineering Training

On December 21st, the Presentation of Sabo Engineering Training took place at the conference room of Directorate General of Water Resources, Ministry of Public Works. Around 30 members including Widagdo, Director of River, Lake and Reservoir, persons in charge at concerned offices, etc. participated in the presentation.

The planning for sediment control facilities established in cooperation with Sabo Technical Centre and local offices for the basin areas of Sombe Lewara river, Palu in Central Sulawesi Province, the basin areas of Batang Bangkahan in West Sumatra Province and Bubawang river, Ambon in South Maluku Province was reported in the presentation.

High sediment discharge occurs in each basin area and disasters caused by heavy rainfall occur frequently, where urgent countermeasures are required.
