Banjir Bandang Disaster Mitigation Management projects includes to install and monitor rain gauges in Jember District, the model site of this project, analyze the relationship between rain amount / water-level and occurrence of banjir bandang, and consider the warning criteria.

For reference of this, on February 9th, we inspected rain gauges and water-level gauges which are installed and monitored by “Capacity Development Project for River Basin Organizations in Practical Water Resources Management and Technology”. The site is at the Brangkal River, a tributary of the Brantas River in Mojokerto District, East Java Province. We conducted the inspection with Bureau of Public Works in East Java Province and related officers in Mojorkerto District.
